On Monday, August 6th, members of the Cannonball Prospects served as volunteers at the David Ortiz Sports Camp held at Catholic Memorial High School in West Roxbury, MA. The event offerred players the opportunity to serve their community and support our youth in their pursuit of excellence on the field.
For our players, it was Opening Day of the most important "postseason" play in which any team could participate, a season of community service. Throughout the upcoming months, players from the 2012 Cannonball Prospects will "pay it forward" by serving various organizations throughout Greater Boston devoted to helping our youth overcome challenges they face.
We're so proud of our players' hustle and determination inside the lines, and their compassion for others outside of them.
